The market fit for Partner-Ally is typically an established small business where the owner is still engaged in day-to-day operations and looking to leave that responsibility while building for long-term growth and sustainability.  This might also include an owner who is looking to build a business that holds value without their involvement to support a shift in leadership, funding or plan for exit.  Ideally this is a small business in the Western United States and sees themselves as a service based business.


While consulting is the primary approach, coaching and expert support elements are utilized during a typical engagement.  The owner's goals and business strategy are both key considerations during a wholistic review that does not focus on one area of expertise.  The goal is to achieve implementation and not just a list of what you should do or produce self-serving recommendations.  



After the initial assessment, ideally the engagement is short and efficient, providing only what your team needs to achieve sustained success.  This is not just a fractional executive or retained expert arrangement.  The approach is designed to meet you where you are at, help identify the solution and then step back so you can leverage your own resources.  Engagements can be setup within a pre-determined reoccurring amount, project based or hourly depending on specific circumstances and needs.


There will be requests for base company information and meetings with key stakeholders initially.  The creation of the tools, process and systems will rely on your internal team or your external resources so the timeline is in your control.  Guidance, support and framework will be provided to your leadership team so that they can own the final delivery.  At the end of the day, your team has to own the long term deliverable and final outcome.


The initial discussion is obligation free and may include a free discovery meeting with your team prior to defining a potential engagement.  If there is alignment then a proposed scope with expectations will be produced and only after this agreement is executed will there be any hard cost.  The investment amount will depend in part on the scope of the engagement and size of the organization however the goal is to create parameters that are tailored for you and that work with your goals. Fixed fees based on predetermined projects or a monthly fee for ongoing support are the typical approach and this can be customized with optional items like Advisory Board involvement and one off items if needed. Travel time and expenses will depend on specific logistics involved.  With 30 day's notice the engagement can be terminated at any point, no long term commitments are required.
